i was lazy today. all i did was sit around the house. i took some boxes to a storage garage thing. tough work. church was good tonight. we had everyone together. we were around a campfire. afterward we set off some small fireworks. it was fun. then i came home and got on the computer. i've been on ever since. i feel like a computer nerd.

big news.. for some of you

in case you all haven't heard yet, i have a girlfriend now. her name is Katelyn Lappin. she's cool. i'm sure you all have heard though, cause i told deanna. :) that's the big news in my life.

i was lazy today. didn't really do anything at all. i did a few graduation thank you's but those are annoying so i could only do a couple at a time before needing another break ;) i probably spent 3 times more time on break than actually working on them.

tomorrow i have to work at my church's fireworks stand from 4 to 10. i hope it's fun. we had a rainstorm tonight and i guess some of the stuff got wet.. hopefully it's not ruined. that would be bad.

i watched Cheaper by the Dozen tonight with my family. i love that movie. does anyone else like it?

home.. finally

finally i'm home for a while. last night i worked at the fireworks stand. i got there at 10 pm and we closed it down then talked with some of my friends till like midnight. a couple guys went through walmart for an hour or so and messed around while jordan and i stayed by the fireworks tent. we slept in a camper. then got up at 8:30 and put up signs and finished putting everything up. got home at 1. it was fun but i'm tired.

i'm so glad that jen and david both blogged again. i thought you two fell off the planet.

snapping turtles and five scoops ice cream cones

so i was at our church camp this weekend.... a total blast! the most fun i've had in a while.. they found a humango snapping turtle in the lake we swam in... and well the people there this weekend are who i'm goin to school wiht next year so that was cool! and then OFFICIALLY got my roomate in the mail.. kinda scared for her but o well :) o lets see this week im' working... and then goin back to the camp for the weekend -- its little kids camp ..so that should be fun.. so i'm trying to keep busy... counting down the days!!! love ya guys

i see what happens when ben and i leave decatur. crime starts popping up everywhere. way to be mar on leaving your car unlocked.. what were you thinking? seriously though, that's weird that that all happened at your house deanna. i bet it's kinda scary. you guys will all be fine though.. God will protect you, as you all know.

my life has been on super speed ever since i left decatur. we have blown through 2 camps already. tonight is the 20th night we have been gone from illinois. :( what's even crazier is that we have spent 5 nights at a resort type thing while we were moving in, 5 nights at kids camp, 5 nights at youth camp, and 4 nights at our house. i mean.. come on. that's pathetic. and... tonight jordan and i are spending the night at the walmart parking lot with three other guys from the church. our church has a fireworks stand and we have to "watch" it during the night. i have to be there from 10 tonight till noon tomorrow. we open at like 8 in the morning. it should be fun, but no break for me.

we got back from camp today at 530 or 6 in the evening. like i said before, non-stop business. this next week should be good though. no big plans, except being lazy. and that is a BIG plan. haha

well they just didn't do stuff to mars car-- they took 3/4 of my dads gas from his truck as well.... (sucked it out) pretty annoying.. and then tried to take mars wheels--- ANNOYING!!! so people tick me! lol i'm soo paranoid now when i leave my car--- i double check it to make sure its locked-- idiotic people... well i work today and leaving town tonight--- so i'll see or talk to people saturday...

between camps

i got back from kids camp today.. it was amazing. i loved it. i was a co-counselor with one of my friends here. his name is ben G. (some just call him G) we had 8 kids that were from 8-10 years old. they were so much fun and we had a blast. the theme of the camp was "the quest" so they hid a key for the treasure chest. my cabin found the key so we got to keep the treasure! it was a really good week for me. the kids were awesome and i also made a lot of new friends. i feel like i fit in here now. it was rough the first few days, but now i am comfortable around them.

thank you to all of you for helping make me into the person i am today. for helping me break out of my shyness and become someone who talks to everyone. you guys are awesome.

i'm off to camp in a couple days again.. this time for junior and senior high camp. it should be fun. the theme is napolean dynamite. i hope it's good. talk to you all later.

worked.. got hair cut... i got "b angs" lol haa haa you know the joke... stayed at kim's watched hitch and fell asleep. slept in on accident picked up sister from drivers ed... organized my life .... and then worked again today.... then had people over and we watched hitch again! i just got done talking to some people on the phone.. uhhhhhh we almost died...again! lol can you say five girls in a tent in a huge flood with thunder so loud it woke mexico from their siesta's!?? and lightning so bright the roosters started crowing because they thought it was daylight..?? ok maybe a lil extreme but jackie and mar were about to head to "higher ground" while i was about to fall asleep becuase it was soo soothing. oh but jackie has a "concussion" now becuase mar threw the camera on her head becuase "deanna you are ticking me"! ya good times... and the tent stayed up! "oh deanna"..... lol thanks joni ya ya good times camping-- we might go again if the rest of you all would like to join, but camping with my dad most likely means it will rain! oh yea mar broke our table because my dad told her it was sturdy....... she started jumping up and down on it..... its as big as a foot and its made up of plastic... its sturdy to eat on :) so it was a pretty good day..... can't stop thinking about those I miss though. so stay in touch both of you! i miss chris like crazy and will miss ben like crazy when he moves.....

got not so much on the time factor...but then again, what else is new?? Tomorrow I'm off to St. Louis for a "World Changers" missions trip...7 days on a construction job in the inner city. I'm so ready to go make a difference somewhere. We will meet with a hundred or so kids up there and get split into teams for the work, then be inviting people back to the school where we will have worship sessions every night...it should be a good chance for evangelism and fellowship.

went to a drive in- that was really cool= i watched a movie from my car and joni and i saw the most grossest makeout of this guy and girl-- chris i was thinking how unfortunate we always are that we are "privilidged" to see those gross things.. she was completely straddling him... and i tried to take a picture but it just turned out black because i was too far away... lol i babysat again today- took the girls to the pool - they wear me out... i was pooped when i got home but its a lot of fun keeping me busy and such. well this weekend i'm goin camping with some people...looking forward to it! well kids i'm goin to go--- i'm exhausted.. and chris it would be nice of you to share you new number with us :) love ya guys

hey guys- second post for today but i had to tell you about it! i got to talk to chris on the phone... that made my week and i have good news he's a live LOL so it was really good to talk to you chris if your signing on your blog from the library with your awesome library card this time :) uh worked tonight.... and went to a movie cinderella man with josh H jeramy bethany and darin - that was really fun especially since someone got a ticket for not turning on the turn signal but speeding is ok i guess..... lol today was a lil better but its still sux that chris is gone... so i'm off to bed must work tomorrow bright and early. night night

college.. and friends...wow

So I spent the last two days at Illinois State University! it was so much fun and I met a lot of really great people. it was definately a different environment to say the least...but I think it will be goood for me...sometimes we forget to think about how not only we are all such close friends but we are like such a huge support system foreach other and it is so cool...who knows what we all would be doing or who we would be if we hadn't found eachother....its really cool to think about :) we encourage each other to be good christians and we never pressure eachother to do things we don't want to do...how great is that? I hope I am strong enough to never fall into things I know are wrong just because everyone around me is doing it...thanks guys for always being there for me it really rocks!!

about time...

well.. it's about time i got intenet access. right now i'm at the library while my parents are setting up the phone service. we are finally getting somewhere. i just wanted to say thank you for all the great memories. i can never thank you enough for all that you have done for me and for the impact you have had on my life. i've been thinking a lot about you all and miss you like CRAZY!! i wish i could have got on here sooner, but things haven't worked out. you all have made my life the best it could be.. all the encouraging notes, pictures, hang-outs, long talks, laughs, cries, and love have been awesome! there is no way i could ever repay you. i just challenge you to do that to everyone.. leave your mark with them as you did with me. i know i'll never forget you or the things you have done for me. i love you all sooooooooo much.

saturday- packed the truck. we were supposed to start at 8 but we weren't ready then. ben showed up first at 8:30 or so. we thought he was going to be the only one, but once we got started we had more people show up and ended up with quite a crew. then i went to justin pinta's graduation party. that was fun. good to see everyone there. going-away party in the evening/night. very good, yet very bad. lots of fun and good to see everyone again and hang out, but the worst when it came to good-byes.. gotta go.. just got in trouble for using this without permission..lol

hey- well lets just say that i babysat yesterday.. that was really good- it helped to actually do something instead of sleep all day... the kids were so cute and i actually had a lot of fun with them. They kept asking me what was written on my arm lol and i would explain and one of the girls actually knew chris - she's five- and gave me the most sympathetic oh.. it was so cute- then my family went to springfield for a birthday dinner for my mom- it was the three siblings and mom and dad. That was soo good because my dad knew my sis and i were still really upset and he attempted the whole entire night to make us laugh-- i love my dad so much - he's amazing. then i got the COOLEST thinnest most awesome digital camera ever! its pretty cool- then justin and joni came over and we hung out and just talked! it was good-- chris i can't wait till you get internet cause = still miss ya lots=

So... the final goodbye was today... pretty much the saddest /depressing thing ever.. Chris i already miss you.... lol it was pro though that you came back.! :) Well today the only thing that i could handle doing was sleep! so thats what i did! then i did chores. I also went to watch the DCS volleyball team play at the DISC and they did a pretty good job! Then i'm hanging out tonight with the girls to watch funny movies and eat food :) its our medication.... lol so tomorrow i work 7:45 bright and early! wow, I never imagined it would come to this point...my last goodbye to Chris ...I'm heartbroken with the rest of decatur...but honestly we are all moving away in a few months and so to me it feels like Chris and Ben are just going before the rest of the seniors who are heading to college.. ok the title has absolutely nothing to do with what i did today.... it just brough back tons of awesome memories with some awesome friends.. i realized that if no one ever left and we all stayed together forever we would grow to hate each other and be soo annoyed it was unbearable-- me theory anyway---- but since we lose each other and move to new places we learn to love each other and cherish each other all the more..... whether this is true or not its a good theory and i'm sticking to it. you guys know me... i hold on to everything for what its worth and letting go isn't something i allow very easily.. I know that God has plans for all of us and if we just follow His will we WILL find contentment and a peace of mind.. which is God speaking to us about certain situations. So friends.... keep in touch and as we touch other people's lives i pray we remember each of us and the relationships we've grown from and learned from others! I know and believe with all my heart i will see ALL of you at the Eastern Gate... so its never goodbye its so long and farewell, and good luck in being used by God to different people. We made it past this level and on to the next. The game points never go away... they just keep building up-- unless of course you die... but thats a video game-- work with me ok! Hello to all my friends

Hey guys.. today was good. we pretty much finished packing.. still a few things left. had to go to bloomington to get the uhaul (pretty creative name, huh?) went to the luau. went to deanna's and played ctf with everyone. annoyed everyone by taking tons of pictures. :)
i'm so happy that pinta is on here now! i'm going to try and come to your party tomorrow. we are loading the truck so hopefully we are done by then. either way you should come to my going away party at mary k.'s house at 7:00 pm. come to that.

Packing

today i got up at about 9:15 or so. we packed all day long (or so it seemed). deanna and darlene came over and helped box stuff up and move it. thanks for the help! we went to krekel's and got ice cream for a little break. cos came over to say goodbye cause he's leaving for vacation and won't come back until after we move. :( it was good to see him. then my family went to mary ellis's house for supper. i took lots of good pictures with my new camera. it was fun. now i'm on my laptop using a wireless connection.. i feel pretty cool right now. :)

Breakfast with matt minder at perkins.. last time I'll see him until I come back and visit. Lunch with d, picked up report cards, "chit-chat" with Mrs. Dickey for a while, my digital camera came in the mail, filled out loan stuff for college, church, tons of fun with d and jen taking pictures and hanging out, visit to ben's for a game or two of capture the flag, back to jen's for a few, then home. Umm ok today lunch with chris, mall with chris, school with chris, chris's "hohm" with chris, work,, jen's with chris , capture the flag with chris.... and jen... and ben ( he "beat" up someone- not comical then , comical now ;)) and A and others but they left -- oh ya and can't forget those awesome fresh's- -- pictures with ya you guessed it ..... people :) and i just had an almost all around amazing day-- gonna cry my heart out until i'm heartless when christopher and ben leave.. but i 've still got amazing friends left here in decatur until of course i go to the awesome state of MI!! yayayayayayayayayayayayayayayay can't wait-- ok i'm dun :) eww gotta hate that spelling--- ha aha haa haaa and i have to do one of these convos in winding so here goes--- see if you can decipher it ------- i love life - i love you --- i love GOD - He's NUMBER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First Time

Hey, this is my first time ever being suckered into writing in posts or blogs...but I guess I did it just because I love Chris and Ben and hope to stay in touch with them! today was okay..I went to Bloomington and somehow ended up getting lost but then I met a guy who totally looked like Napolean and that brightened my day! Capture the Flag seems like it may become addicting...I suck but its fun so I think I will keep playing...Weekend should be fun but ever so sad...tears...

Fewer Days

Yesterday (Tuesday) was a doozie, I packed my room up all day. Mar came over and helped Seth and everyone got a lot done. We did get to play CTF at the Hohm's house though and that was so fun. We are doing it again tonight at my house for all you Capture The Flag lovers. Im liking this "with my friends all the time thing" I am glad everyone is getting in what they can with me. It means a lot. THE EGGS HAVE HATCHED AND THE BIRDS ARE READY TO FLY!!!!!!

CTF

Capture the flag is by far the COOLEST game that ever landed on planet earth..... it should be played minutely! Michael hohm is the best at it-- he free's and captures...... and mar-- next time get the closest person on base.... glow sticks rock my world....seth jumps out of trees--- and gets rocks up his fingers-- :) This night was by far one of the favs... o exuse me FAVORITES! :)
