college classes

hey so i thought i'd update you on my college experience so far. it's been fun and long and tiring and hard and funny and sad and exciting and boring. you are welcome. i actually am enjoying myself i have a splendid christian roomie and there are sweet girls on my floor--amazing. i had my first day of classes and really liked it, but my schedule is slightly messed up and i have to get it figured out so that's exciting. yes so basically God is amazing even tho i don't feel so good--health wise...like sinus junk ..ya not fun!

Hanging Out

Jackie.. i'm glad you are safe. Kinda weird that you have to deal with hurricanes now. Good thing that you aren't in the middle of everything.

Today I took my first online quiz. I got a 100%. It was so easy. I've been hanging out with my roommates a lot lately. Jared, Jeremy, and I all hang out all the time. It's been really fun. Matt is always in football or off somewhere, but when we are with him it's cool. It's been nice to talk to everyone online when you guys are on. So, keep getting on. It's kinda weird to not have church on Wednesday nights. So, I'm just hanging out tonight. Probably going to go play basketball in about an hour or so. I'll talk to you all later. I heard some good jokes today, so I'll have to tell you them sometime.

just wondering

do any of your dorms reek sometimes-- the hallways-- not the rooms! just wondering if its our hallways only-- cause sometimes it smells like gross cleaner! lol and the community STUFF-- sick lol thats the only downside of dorms... o ya-- the rooms are kinda small-- but loft those beds all it makes for great space... except when your half awake in the morning and you fall out of it lol ya i did that-- but its all good cause i was bound to do it awake better being half a sleep :) well i've got more hw and then off to the beach!! go lake MI--- we're not swimming by the way! lol

my day

class-- homework-- monotone teachers with good points--- new people-- new friends --- make new friends but keep the old == one is silver and the other gold---- worked out=== GROSS food in cafe== prolly gonna be anorexic the next time you see me lol!! homework- more homework-- goin to bed== class at 830!!!

church and school

yesterday i went to church with my roommate jared. it was called Woodland Hills church. it was big. the pastor was awesome, but i didn't like the worship. it was too showy... pretty much they were a band with 7 lead singers taking turns doing solos. annoying. then we went out to eat at olive garden with his aunt, uncle, cousins, brother, and grandma. luckily one of his cousins brought along a friend too so i wasn't the only oddball. then last night we built lofts for our beds. that saved so much space. it's way better now.

today was pretty boring. i had classes from 9-3 and then came back to the dorm and slept for almost 2 hours. went to supper and now i'm back here. i have to go workout soon for basketball weight training. why we start basketball in august beats me. it goes through mid-march if i do it, so that could be a LONG time to do weights and basketball. talk to you all soon.

yess for college!!

hey everyone!! so it's so amazing here! God is awesome. i finally got my computer and it's great fun--kinda. they are having difficulties with internet and aim, but for the most part i had hardly any problems compared to like everyone else! :) Anyways, so unfortunately the guy to girl ratio is like 1 guy to 7 girls--ya not so cool~ but if you know me, i'm cool w/ that. lol. Classes actually don't start til wednesday so i'm technically still really disillusioned about my college experience. Well, i'll post more probably, cuz a lot of exciting things happen at college!

p.s. i kno most of you at college right now are the first timers for your family--which is amazing. Let me just say, i have it soo good w/ em here--so if you siblings go to the same college make them feel real cool and smart ! :) I hope everything is going well and you figure a few things w/o looking too stupid! lol

just so you all know - if your frusterated dont go workout every muscle in your body...i feel like I bus hit me...thats my little piece of advice :)

Fuel

hey everyone,

well, I am writing now because I have like 20 minutes before my next class and I have nothing to do because I am sitting in a computer lab because I forgot to do my English homework and I didnt wanna go all the way back to my dorm
Anyway, not too much to say- yesterday I went to a Lutheran church with Tim and Stephanie, because there lutheran and I havnt decided where I wanna goto church yet...not there though lol. after church we went to eat and bakers square and it was so good- we then decided to ordera whole pie to go since it would be a little less than buying one piece each, we went back to the dorm and split it up with plastic silverware...it was fun lol i pent the rest of the day writing my rough draft for english- and then that night we went to Fuel which is a college youth group thing and it was really a ton of fun- but i was so tired that it dampered my experience a little but I will definately be going back after that we went to fazolis for some food which was also very goood then back to the dorms to sleep- anyway thats all I got hope ya'll are doin wel- i may see some of you seniors this weekend!

well i'm bloggin yet once again! haven't blogged for the weekend!! saturday we went to church-- which was amazing!!! the praise and worship is just so awesome people here really love the Lord and aren't afraid to show it- especially the upper classman and even some freshman-- which is a huge encouragement to me to get involved! then after church we went to the caf where table were set up with one family at each table who had prepared a meal.. so you just sat down with your friends and they served you-- it was really really nice of them-- we wished we could have stayed longer but we had to rush off to meet the bus at 230 to go canoeing down the st joseph river which was really fun and tiring-- we got burnt so good lol then that night we went to see shawn groves in concert where i met him, shook his hand, and got his cd signed= that was cool then after that the whole entire freshman class with family group leaders went bowling -- THAT was fun-- but also brought back some good memories of when i went bowling with some special people.. lol it made me sollom and sad!
this mornign i woke up at 12 -- skipped the beach goin tues!- and did four loads of laundry, super cleaned my room, and went to town. then when we got back the alumni of Andrews had a barbecue for us and our own elephant ears stand was there for free elephant ears. then we watched a movie of the week-- felt like camp annoying-- but then i'm here-- catching up on emails and my life at home lol -- i hope all is well-- my classes start tomorrow so i'll tell you more about that as it comes!!! love ya all and hope you are doing well on devotions!!

Friday night fun

Last night was fun. We went to the Como Park Zoo with our sister hall. It was a lot of fun. I took a lot of short video clips of the animals. I put them all together and made a movie. It's on my picture website. www.chriswisconsin.textamerica.com Check it out. Then we played Ultimate Frisbee after having a little picnic.

Then we came back and our hall was having movie night at 10. I was the first one to the room and when I knocked they opened the door. It was dark and they opened the door so that I couldn't see them. I was like "I don't like this.." They just laughed and so I walked in. They grabbed me and blindfolded me and tied my hands together. This was the room of my RA and another guy. I think there were 3 of the older guys in there at the time. Before I was blindfolded, I saw that they were all in long cloaks with hoods. Both green and red ones. It was really funny. The next guy they got was the guy I knew before I came here to Northwestern. He's also from Rhinelander. They called his room while the other two stood at his door and then captured him there. After about a half an hour of getting a bunch of freshman all tied up we headed out. Our RA has an accordian which he played while they paraded us down the hall, through the Student Center, and out to some cars. We drove around for a while in circles and around corners, this whole time while being blindfolded and tied up. After a little while, they stopped and got us out. We went through a "walk in the woods." They led us in a windy path by some trees. Finally, they stopped us and we sat down. Then we took off our blindfolds and undid our ties. We were still on campus, down by the lake. There is about a 12 foot high cross down there and we did a little Bible study type thing. We sand songs, and the older guys gave their testimonies. It was awesome! I loved it. The people here are really on fire for God. They are real.. they don't cover stuff up and pretend like they are perfect, so it makes the Bible studies go so much better. Well.. that's my friday night fun.

Today was pretty boring. I did nothing all day long, except be lazy and make that movie from the zoo. You guys better watch that. Tell me if it worked. Have a great day everyone.

Sweet Corn Fesitival!

Hey-

well lastnight wasnt a very good night...I was feelin pretty low...only maybe 3 friends...things get a little depressing...anyway so I went "partying" but it really is not much fun when you dont know anyone, no one will talk to you, and you don't drink. I don't recommend it! not to worry though today is better..I got up at 9 and me and steph went and worked out hard core for about and hour and a half. That felt good to just get some frusteration out- then we went to the sweet corn festival right next to our dorm and got gyros!!! so good. and now i am listening to Jack Johnson and getting ready to take a nap....i just feel overwhelmed and like I must smell or something cuz I have very few friends lol..anyway ttyl I miss everyone. Nothin will ever come close to being as great as the dcs crowd...

Yet another police encounter....

ya today we did a service project at a diner and they fed me MEAT!!!! :) and then we went to pass out fliers and we met some cool policemen of Benton Harbor-- bad town-- then they turned there lights on for a split second as they drove by and i immediately thought of mar.. lol so good-- except this police encounter was a positive one :) and then my family group went to a staff's house for dinner and got a lot of really good food!!! it was good
and then we went to this Vesper thing called Fusion and it was SOOOO awesome-- so spiritual-- amazing-- my school has soo many people on fire for God its amazing!!!
I miss you guys a lot too.. and i feel really guilty for making friends.. but the people here are really cool-- i hope you guys make friends becuase i know that you guys are awesome and will make good friends too because you guys were and still ARE-christopher--my friends.... call sometime--- i'm sooo sad that i have no phone calls from you people-- i call--- but no call back WAAAAAAAAAAAAA sorry i'm really kinda hyper i've had about twenty girls filtering through my room tonight-- i think i'm kinda centrally located--- its fun-- basically you should all just come here becuase this is the best school ever and you guys would love it

Friends.. I need them

Today was good. I had 4 classes. I have homework in 3 of them, but already got one done so it won't be too bad of a weekend. I think tonight we might go to the zoo with our sister hall. As for my needing of friends.. I have a couple but none that I am close to. Also, with so many people here, I look around and see nobody I know and I'm like "where are all my friends?" oh yeah.. they are all in decatur or college. I miss you guys and think about you daily... actually more than daily. I'm not doing terrible, and I'm good at hiding it. :) But I thought I'd let you know how much I miss you guys. My mom sent me a package that I got today. That was nice of her. Jordan is doing well from what I hear, and Michael is in soccer. He has played two games. First game: 14-0 and he had 3 goals. Second game: 5-0 against a team with one of his friends. Sounds like they will be good this year. My dad is recovering and getting stronger everyday. It's just going to take a while for him to be all the way better. Email me sometime.. I'd be happy to hear from you. Love ya all.

Labor Day

Hey ya'll!
I hope everyone is having a great time in college. I know for me it is great but also a bit lonely considering that I have made about 10 friends and only about 3 close ones I feel like I am making progress but I also feel a bit lonely. anyway! classes are going well- i have tro write a narrative response for English today and its due in about 3 hours so I am gonna make this short but sweet. Hope all is well and for the few highschoolers on this blog I hope you all are doing well- don't hesitate to call! have a great senior year and don't burn too many pizzas! I cant wait for labor day so I can go home and a few days and igure my life out :)

Purpose

hey guys--i got a P4 on my math placement!!! so exciting -- highest is p5 which would mean i would take calculus,... NO WAY.. today i took a computer placement test-- FAILED that lol it was soo hard... everyone was just like ya i don't know this stuff :) me with my advisor today... found out first try flunked the math placement but then they realized-- after my explaining that i'm not THAT dumb--- that they put the wrong answer bubble thing with the right pamphlet.. annoying so i took it for the second time! lol then we had this thing called family groups and i have a light blue bracelet that says purpose on it-- every group has a different color and name-- sorta like livestrong but with our own names. so all week we are hanging out with them... i don't really know anyone really-- there's this one guy named kyle thats really cool and really talkative and then this guy named chris... but he 's wierd.. then there's others-- all my friends i've met were all in different groups.. but its cool cuase we hang out all the time after and before! i didn't think i would ever get a group as close as Decatur but i now see that it could be possible! this guy named justin is HILARIOUS.. he loves corny jokes and he's soo funny - he's dating one of the twin girls melody who's also very nice..its cool-- i seriously meet 20 new people a day-- i can't keep everyone straight! and there are soo many freshman here... krillions! lol well i'm goin to go do my devos then go to bed-- i have another long day tomorrow! peace out!!!!

Podcast.. and school

So.. this is something new and very cool. It's called a podcast. I can record myself talking about whatever I want and then put it out on the internet for all to hear. Even random people I don't know can listen to it. It's pretty fun, but so far I haven't really found some cool stuff to talk about. They are ok, though, and will get better. Go to these sites and listen if you want. They are only about 10 min. long or less. The first two are dumb cause I was just learning and testing it out, but the second two are better. They are the same things.. but I have two sites, because the feedburner one is the actual podcast one, but it has to run through another site, hence why I have the blogspot one. Have fun. Tell me what you think or any ideas on what to talk about... I may listen, depending on what it is.

The life of a Swedish dance king

Well hi all you amazingly cool people. So this is my first blog in ages on this site. How pathetic of me. Funny thing is I probably won't get on here for another hundred months.
So here's some updates from my side of the world, since you all care so much:

Arrived here at Cedarville University in Ohio on Friday, and have been going to all sorts of orientational meetings and such. Classes start tomorrow! Rooming with my good man Josh Arndt. Right now I'm a-eating a Hunt's Snack Pack chocolate pudding, which you wish you had, I'm sure. Majoring in Biology (Pre-Med), minoring in Music and the required Bible minor. Taking Honors, which is cool because it's one class that covers over 3 gen. ed. requirements, meaning in layman's terms, I can take Swedish dancing 101, Cupcake Design, and maybe even Cubicle Painting, my Junior and Senior years. Well, okay, maybe not those courses exactly, but I'm thinking about asking our college president to work on creating those classes for us hardworking kids. Haha, whatever. . . Hmm... I wonder if you could combine all three. It'd be like painting a cool cupcake design on the side of a cubicle all while doing a totally hot Swedish dance move.
Well..... moving on......This pudding sure is grood.

Guys, ya know I love you all, and I'm hoping your schooling, wherever it be, works amazingly great for you. Can't wait to hear all of the stories, in person or on this blog in 2056, which might be the next time I visit this thing.

Service Project

Today we had a service project for our small groups. We got to go to Como Park Zoo. We had to take some christmas lights off of the trees.. no they weren't from christmas. They were from a Japanese party/garden opening thing.. or something. Anyway, we got done in about 45 min. We were supposed to be there for 4 1/2 hours. So, we got donuts, watermelon, and water from the people there as a thank you. Then we had lunches dropped off for us, so we ate those. Then we got to walk around the zoo. It was fun, and awesome that other groups were working hard and we weren't. Then we came back and I took a little nap. Hung out. Service. Learned a new game.. The Settlers of Catan. Some German game that is fun. Now I'm in my room. Peace

i'm having soo much fun!! i love meeting new people. I've seriously met so many. Tonight eight of us girls were in the dorm watching Hitch. It was soo fun! I'm starting to hang out a lot with this girl named Kristie. She's really fun and didn't know anyone either. She's from NY! and then Megan... soo funny.. basically me.. but krillions more gorgeous! she's hilarious.. and her twin sister Melody.. and then there roomates whom they know from highschool!!! but we are constantly laughing and everything thinks we know each other.. and really i'm tired of saying my name my room number my major my state i'm from and if kristie is my roomate. lol we get it all the time and we are like no we just met and we don't know where our roomates are! its a lot of fun! my roomates cool-- she's never really been away from home so i can help her with her homesickness.. and kristie and i said we are goin to not let her get homesick.. we are thinking movies... mall.... massage-- lol there's a massage therapist on the lower level of the dorm!!! anyways i'd thought i'd wish people good luck on the first day tomorrow for HS and other collegers good luck whenever you start--- much love

ya so i'm here and settled and i have a work out buddy actually two her roomate comes too! i 'm meeting new people all the time from Washington to FL to NY..there are tons of new people and more are moving in tomorrow! its soo good! by the way i thought i'd post a few pics of my room but it didn't work- sorry!!! :) so i hope all is well-- well i'm gonna go- i have an annoying test in the morning at 8 and then another math placement test at 3ish!!! talk to you later-- good luck all

Not title worthy

hey guys!! This is my final week at home--very sad. Actually it's more sad that others are having a harder time saying goodbye than me--it kinda makes me feel bad, cuz i'm ready to move on...:( Anyways, so this week is gonna be crazy--like normal. Hey. I'm doing good. Today we had a church service on-campus. I woke up late so I was a little late for that, but when I got there I saw one of the kids I knew from registration. I sat with him and then ate lunch with him and another guy I know who is in my small group. We had a free afternoon, so I just messed around and played some ultimate frisbee. It was fun. Tonight we have an optional worship service and then they are showing National Treasure later.

how is everyone?/ well here I am...my 3rd day at isu and it is still goin well...my parents and my grandparents are coming tomorrow to see me and bring me the rest of my clothes so I am pretty excited about that....I desperately need a job...I feel really weird without one and like i cant spend any money so thats next on my list of things to do...tonight I hung out with one of the girls in my dorm..she actually lives in decatur her name is stephanie Gordon?? anyone know her?? well we hung out and found a random movie rental place and signed up for a membership and we also stopped and got pokey stix which are just really really extremely good cheesy breadsticks :) amazing....we watched hostage which I thought was gonna be extremely disgusting and gross (cuz thats what deanna told me) but really it wasnt that bad, its a pretty good movie if you like intense and a little gore....okay well I think I am rambling now so im gonna go but I hope your all doing well...cya!

I am all moved in now and have a few friends. We have had a busy weekend doing all sorts of mixing stuff. It's been fun. A little weird to be with a bunch of people I don't know, but it's been good. One Tree Hill

Hey everybody I bet you will all be happy to know that I will probably be blogging on a regular basis now because I have the time and I finally have something not boring to talk about. This was my second day at illinois state...and so far so good! only by God I have formed a small group of girlfriends...and guess what! they do not drink and they are christians how rockin is that!!! so I think this is gonna go well for me...I signed up for Campus Crusades today and I am gonna go to a picnic tomorrow for "Encounter" the church I will most likely be attending. Just trien to keep u all updated so that you dont think I am turning party girl on you all just because im at a public school :) me and like 3 other girls stayed in tonight and watched like 5 episodes of One tree Hill is was so much fun. What was once lost has now been found

I have not had my yearbook from last year for about a year now. I was so disappointed and mad that I couldn't find it. Even through the move I never saw it. I had so many great things in it. Then today I was packing for college and saw a yearbook laying there. It was the one I had been missing!! My mom found it in my dad's office, I think. Random that it was there, but oh well.. I'm so glad now. And, yes, it still has all the autographs, even the ones that I made because we didn't have any at the time. I leave for college in about 5 hours so i need to go to bed. Well I am all moved in and living the college life...so far so good...I have a workout buddy and a really cool roommate so life is good...except I have no english book which concerns me...anyway I know everyone else is leaving soon and I hope everything goes smoothly for you guys.
I am glad I got to see everyone again before I left..I got to see my dear friends heidi and tara also. I got to say bye to ALMOST all my friends...I still miss chris,ben, justin, and Lucas so much since I havnt seen chris or ben in years and justin and lucas I barely got to see at all this summer...but dont worry their faces are definately on my walls in my little dorm room..i will never forget you guys :)

my dad and college

An update on my dad. I have a couple corrections to make. The cut to take the tumor out was not a circle. It was an oval 6 inches long and 2 inches high. They took out the tumor, part of the sternum (including the little lip type thing at the bottom of it), and part of 3 ribs. Then from his stomach they cut across it and took muscle tissue and skin tissue. They took what they needed to cover the whole at the top and discarded the rest. So, he has stomach muscle and tissue on his chest now. Kinda weird, but whatever works. He is doing well. He got up and walked around the rectangle yesterday. He did that 4 different times. Today he did 2 laps, so he is making steady progress.

I did some college shopping today. I never realized how much stuff we actually need. I got a phone call today from my college saying that we have a 4th person in our room, so that's cool. We will have a lot of fun. I gotta go to church soon. I have a myspace now. www.myspace.com/hohmboy if you have it add me to your friends. Thanks.

well we did our goodbyes last night! it was really fun! saw tons of people who i hadn't seen in a long time... Morg, Tara, Heidi, Karli, Cassie, josh artime... and the rest i had seen recently.. but it was fun! we played catch phrase-- morg and cos rock at that game lol...

then cassie me and jackie stayed the night with kim and went back to our childhood days-- the tape late last night.. or something like that-- and whatever the song says you act out.. for instance if it says you put on your tap shoes--- what do yo do --- TAP-=-- it was fun we lookied and felt like we were five! lol then we talked for a long time about life .. and then we went to bed-- woke up to kim's deafining--sp-- ANNOYING alarm clock...then went home to get in my car and find out my ac is broken.. so thats getting taken care of-- FORDS!!!!!! hate them lol

well i have to go and help with garage sale stuff as well as vaccuum and wash my car today-- we get our student tonight== so that will be fun -

Praise God!

My dad's surgery went well. We got up this morning at a little before 5:30. We had to be at the hospital by 6. We made it there, then we had to wait around for a bit. They took my dad back. About 8 they started surgery. We didn't hear anything for a couple hours. Then the doctor who did the first part came and told us that everything went well. Then he had another doctor do some other stuff. He came when he was done and said it went well. So, my dad went to the recovery place about 1:45. We couldn't see him until about 4:15. It was a long day, but praise God, everything went well. Thanks for all the prayers. We appreciate them.

First doctor - Cut a couple inch diameter circle around the tumor. Sternum, parts of three ribs, and all came out. Then he put a mesh type thing there to keep all the body parts under that down and not popping out.

Second doctor - Flipped muscle from his stomach up over where they cut out and then did something to cover it i think.

That's how I understood it, so something may be a little bit wrong, and if so, it's an honest mistake. :)

I haven't blogged in a while. Cassy and Keith Wilson and their family came up for a few days. We went canoeing down the Wisconsin River while fishing. We didn't catch anything, except a turtle and two snails. It was a lot of fun though. We also went swimming and just hung out. It was really good to see them. We had a great time!

College is coming so fast! I still have to do tons of shopping. I leave on Friday and haven't really done any shopping at all, so hopefully we figure that all out. We are here at this hotel for another night. We might go out tonight to Walmart. I'm glad to see everyone blogged. It's good to hear from you all.

4 days

I leave for Normal,Bloomington in 4 days..in 4 days my life is going to drastically change....4 days and I have to make all new friends...4 days I leave all my beloved friends from DCS who I cherish....and oddly enough I am so excited about going!!! College here I come- I hope all of you keep in touch with me I LOVE YOU ALL :) (I blogged so Chris wouldnt kick me out)

this blog is the reason blogs were made.. i'm so glad everyone's blogging since i don't get to talk to all of you--- especially A- we need to hang out before i leave cause a phone goodbye won't be suitable for me at all!!! today i worked- my last sunday yes!!!!! then mar and i are goin to the mall.. then i'll probably just chill at home.. everyone pray for Chris's dad aka pastor steve lol i don't know why i just did that-- his surgery is tomorrow- i'm sure he'll be fine but prayer is always a good thing... ben i loved your blog -- i can just picture you with knife in hand ready to kill that animal and then hang it on your wall... lol

Over the river and through the woods.....

hey guys.. haven't really blogger for real in while.. :) i finished my college shopping a whole wapping krillions of dollars later. lol college is so expensive... and i forgot i need tweezers and finger nail clippers.. duh silly me! after a day of watching the neices, college, shopping and chores for my parents i left town and ...to grandmother's house we go... so good i love my grandma.. saw some cousins and and "aunt" and uncle.. goodtimes then i headed "home" to my brothers for dinner with Kim. Then kim and i headed to the mall in my brother's awesome car! came back to my brother's and watched a movie.. but it's kinda scary so i had to take a break or i'd be crawling in the middle of the night up to my brother and sis in laws room to sleep with them .. lol aka i have no nails left! tomorrow is my last sunday to work.. and then some more college to get ready for! i can't wait...
well i hope everyone is lucky in getting ready for school!!

a little bit of nothing

Yeah, so, I never write on here anymore...the summer has slipped by, school is looming, and starting Sunday my "week of goodbyes" will begin. Jerkface.

I'm going to spend all day tomorrow looking over book lists and trying to save money on line. Today I went boating and had a family game night and yesterday we went to see the Muni production of "Beauty and the Beast"...which is my fave Disney movie. That was great....so was a sleepover with the Cos girls. Good times.

Not too much else to say...glad you guys are all alive...Deanna, when do you leave? ttyl

never having kids

i'm not having kids...

lock in

last night i had a lock in for church. we played games, hung out, talked, and had fun. it was good. i hung out with some people i hadn't really talked to that much before. i'm beginning to get better at that.
slept from 8 this morning till 5:30 tonight. therefore i did nothing today. we sat at home and then went to mcdonald's and rented The Pacifier.

home quickly and for a few

well i'm home- we made it to Decatur in less than seven hours with two stops. and i wasn't even really speeding that badly. it gets shorter every time. lol in case you don't know where i went i went to some friend of mine's house - i don't really know his name though- weird i know-- anyway it was fun --- not a busy all the time fun but a deanna needed a lazy few days fun. it was good- chris and i mainly just sat on the couch and talked online to people. it was good to be lazy before we head to the doomsday of busyness -- aka college lol

basically chris' just says everything we did so i'm not going to type it all out. the trip home was good-- one time i got a little dazed so i said HEY we need gas-- then i was good for the whole way home.

now we are home- i'm unpacking and soon to eat supper and then i have to help move some porch furniture so our siding can be powerwashed... ya i know college is looking pretty good lol

ok well i need to go -- i'm hungry-- tired--- and i have to go through college stuff with my mom when she gets home

chris thanks for having us--- monopoly was good and jordan's and joel's "nap dyn " dance moves were pretty funny... lol o by the way your birthday present will be a lifetime prescription to FITNESS magazine... lol ;0) jk

by myself

well.. deanna, darlene, and joel left today. it was good to see them and hang out with them. we played an awesome game of monopoly, which i was winning hugely until deanna, jordan, and joel combined forces. darlene was already out. they came back and beat me. it was fun.

we went hiking on a trail. went to the Y for the first time here. it is a nice one. i'm so sore and worn out from going though. we played bball, worked out on the bikes, i ran a little, and we swam. it was a good time, just very tiring.

joel showed me all sorts of stuff on the computer while he was here. that kid is a genius. jordan is going to miss him and darlene. he's at driver's ed right now. he moved on to the actually driving part. he was a little nervous, but he'll do good. he got to drive first.

tonight we have church and then a lock-in. i hope it's fun. why didn't we all ever do an all-nighter? that would have been fun. it seemed like we were close one time.

WHAT A JERK

dude im' on chris's computer and i started to type the title and it automatically gave a list of ones people have already used and i decided i liked this one lol!!! for no reason actually- it just stuck out as being pro. lol well i'm blogging. i leave less than two weeks for school-- probably the best feeling in the whole wide world. i'm soo excited and my mom is goin to get my school stuff really soon. she's pro i love her. lol

chris is mean i don't even know why i came to visit him -- lol jay kay joel is realy annoying too :)p.s he's sitting right here by me promising that he'll never talk to me again.... lol we don't like each other anymore!! its all fun

The 200th post

wow! we are good. 200 posts already. let's keep this going.

well.. a lot has been going on since i last blogged. let's just say... A TRIP TO DECATUR!! it was so good to see everyone. thursday night was awesome. surpise. sumo fights. video taping. drinking contests. eating contests. lots of laughs. and lots more.

friday i had lunch with nicole since she skipped the thursday hang out. we went to panera. then helped adriane put up the sign for the parking lot to raise money for their senior trip. back to elijah's house to hang for a while. then we went to the decatur celebration and hung out there. i saw tons of people i haven't seen in so long, including a drunk nathan patrick and a smoking adrienne harrison. good thing former dcs people are doing well. but we did see a bunch of people who were doing good and it was really fun. then we left the celebration and were going to go to brady's house, but decided to go to elijah's and have a bonfire. it was fun.

saturday we had lunch with coach hubner at cheddar's. it was good to see him. then we went to elijah's house and watched tv and played on the computer. darin came over and we ate pizza and watched the movie from thursday night. it is so good. after that we helped a girl from the college class at foursquare move some stuff, cause there was a fire in her apartment building and her whole room got drenched with water. a lot of stuff will be ruined probably. we went to the celebration and missed the group of people we were meeting there.

just so you all know... i did not ditch you. i don't have a cell phone so i didn't hear what was going on. elijah got a call but couldn't understand a word cause of bad reception. sorry if you thought i did.

we went to kim's house for a bit then to another kim's house and then to elijah's. people were at elijah's when we got there till 330 in the morning.

church the next day and then home. we surprised jordan by bringing joel with us. now we are all just hanging out. it was good to see you all and i hope we can do it again soon. love you all.

wednesday

today we woke up at like 11. we had pancakes for brunch. we went to a lake and went tubing and swimming. the boat died on the second group of people that went. thank goodness that darin and i were on the first and elijah and jordan on the second. they got a good run in before it died. it was pretty fun. then we went to church. it was good. we had a combined service of adults and youth. we split into small groups and the three of us were with three adult ladies. it was cool. they were so funny. random.. weird.. i don't care what you think.

now elijah and me are playing soccer on the playstation 2. we are pro. darin and elijah leave tomorrow morning. :( it's going to be a few lonely days around here, until deanna and darlene come up. adriane was going to try and come, but plans didn't work out. bummer. hey a, hopefully something will work out so we can see each other before next summer. that would be a long time to wait. goodnight all.

florida is hot

well we've done a lot the past couple of days. we went to sea world and saw some cool whales and dolphin shows. we also rode this really cool rollar coaster that made you feel like you were on the ocean waves. that was fun. then we did a bunch of stuff at sea world as well. they have like krillions of pools here so we swim at least every night. i'm constantly meeting new people because everyone here is really friendly.

a couple nights ago my dad and sister were leaning back on the couch with the hide a bed open and i guess they hit a non supported point and it started to fold up with them in it. my dad was like getting squished and yelling for help but all my mom and i could do was laugh . it was soo funny. and if you don't think its funny i guess you would have just had to have been there. but just picture my dad getting folded up in a couch..... :)

yesterday was miserable for my dad because he had to go shopping all day with us girls. since i'm goin to be gone a ton... i had to do my college clothes shopping there. and i couldn't fit it all back in my suitcase so thats kinda a problem lol

well we are flying home today. we leave the resort about 2 ish and our flight leaves at 430- i'm kinda ready to go home only because i have a ton of stuff hanging over my head to do before i leave for school in less than three weeks....such a good feeling though

i'm starting to get lonely on here

today we went skeet shooting. michael and darin were both awesome. elijah and my dad were good. jordan was ok and i stunk. it was fun though. the guy training us was so good. he was funny to. he was making fun of me because a lady did better than me. oh well. after that we came home. elijah and darin cooked supper for us. they made salad, chicken alfredo, bread, and grapes. mmmm.. it was delicious. we lazed around for a while. ben g came over and brought elijah's cell phone with him. some lady had found it and ben called it. she called him back and told him that they would bring it to him. so.. that's a big relief to have that found. we took a movie back that my family rented and rented two games (for the price of one). elijah and i have been playing this soccer game since about 11. it's so fun.

we talked to lane and kelsey edgecombe on the phone tonight. two different phone calls. that was fun. well.. only a day and a half more with elijah and darin before they go back to decatur. i gotta go.. it's my turn for the soccer game.

well.. sunday night after servant leaders, darin, elijah, katie, and i went to the putt putt golf course down the street from the church. it was a lot of fun. the course was really bumpy and hilly instead of obstacles. different, but fun. elijah got a hole-in-one. he won with a 51. darin and i both got a 54. katie got a 55. we were joking around with katie telling her to make us some food. she agreed to it. so we went to her house and she cooked us pizza. i beat elijah in Stratego. we watched SWAT and when the pizza was ready, katie didn't even eat any! she made us two pizzas and then we ate it all. we kinda felt bad for going to her house and eating her food, but oh well, it was good.

yesterday we got up and lazed around all morning. we went geocaching in the afternoon. we found one. it took forever. we didn't know how to get close to it so we were driving all over these country curvy roads that took us nowhere. finally we got close to it and then found it. darin got the prize because it was his first geocaching experience. then we went to find another one but the road only took us about half a mile from it. which wouldn't be too bad, except there were no trails or anything. we would have had to try and go through some really thick trees for that long, plus we had to get home soon. so we passed on that. it was darin, elijah, my dad and me that went. we got home and ate supper. hamburgers, fresh corn (picked that day), and watermelon. then we went swimming at buck lake. came home and got cleaned up. then went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. that movie is awesome. go see it if you haven't yet. the bad thing is that elijah lost his cell phone in the movie theater. we were in the front row of the second section. we got to the car and started to drive off when he remembered that he didn't have it. elijah and darin went back in to look and looked everywhere a bunch of times. where we were sitting, bathroom, garbage. it wasn't anywhere so we are hoping that the movie theater calls us today to say that they found it. we came home after that and looked at the stars again. saw a few shooting stars, the milky way, and two satellites which were right next to each other. that's all for now.
