snapping turtles and terminals

ok lets just say i've had a very humerous last couple of days! FIRST i'll begin bye telling you that my mom and i have NEVER flown by oursleves before especially to atlanta.. and we've NEVER rented a car before by ourselves... especially in atlanta!!!!

so basically my dad thought we needed to leave our house 3 hours before our plane left to get to the bloominton airport. annoying.. so my mom and i left about two hours before. haha so we are doing ok.. we get to the airport .. then a bunch of confusing stuff my mom didn't understand----- lets just say you all know my mom... lol just smile cause she's cute..

so we finally get on the plane. by this point she has totally stressed me out because she doesn't believe anything i say about flying or airports.. i dont' know why. so we get to atlanta and she doesn't understand then right when you get off of the plane our car is NOT going to be anywhere near.. so i finally convince her to get on the train ( the one where everyone freaked otu because they thought we were going to be left) and convicne her that the TERMINAL is where we needed to be " but deanna we don't need to get our bags from the baggage claim.." HAhA... pretty much it took me 10 minutes to get her to move anywhere because she woudl argue wiht me.. well finally in the end . i was right...we got the car and by the way my dad picked a ghetto one where we were the only white people.. hhaha so we get the car and then realize we have NO clue where we are to get on the interstate.. so we finally figure that out and i'm getting more stressed and i finally just shut up and go into silent mode becasue if i said anything more i would have screamed lol so finally i cool down and its ok..

sooo we get to my grandparents and all my family is coming in so my grandma is completely stressed out and we eat.. then a neighbor comes over and tells us there is a turtle. so we go look at this GInormeous turtle and its a snapping turtle. WELL.. my grandpa thinks that its coool to shove his foot in the turtles face and have it lunge out his shoe wiht his huge mouth. if any of you have seen snapping turtles.. those things can bite. that thing snaps at least 6 times at my granpa.. but not calmly like lashing out.. i scream so loud everytime and everyone just looks at me but i'm completely terrified that miraculously its going to run at 60 miles an hour and kill us all...

so then we go back to the house and my GRANDMA KICKS US OUT at 7:45 cause she's tired.. so my cousins and i find this EXTREMELY humurous that OUR grandma just kicked us out of her house... lol

soo.. today we are at church and all is going well UNTIL my grandpa DURING the middle of the sermon stands up and walks up a few more pews and taps on this gentleman in front of us and ASKS HIM TO TAKE A PICTURE OF OUR FAMILY WHILE WE ARE SITTING... may i remind you DURING CHURCH.. my cousins and i are completely mortified we are cracking up... and not one picture but at least three.. where the camera makes a noise and a flash goes off.... everyone knows we are taking a picutre..and the guy is standing while he takes a picture..

all in all to say my family is majorly disfunctional lol but its really warm here and besides all of that we are having a good time!!

i hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend and i hope to see all of you very soon!!! peace out!

I'm here!

I'm out here! (Just so you know)
School's out, and I'm happy. We've been doing quite a bit of spring cleaning...I found a crab spider; it was pretty awesome! I went to Darin's open house...probably the only one I can go to.
See why I don't blog more with all of this overly-exciting information.

where is everybody/???

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANYBODY OUT THERE???????????????????????????????????

A few great stories

Well, let's start last week. It was about Thursday I think and I had to mow the lawn because we had people coming to inspect the house we are living in. The guy that we are renting from wants to sell it and we don't want to buy it, so we have been looking for another house in Rhinelander, but anyway, we had to clean really good and I had to mow the lawn. So, it was going pretty good, until the ATTACK OF THE SQUIRREL. I was right by the end of our driveway and you can see in this picture the house that the squirrel made. I was mowing really close and the squirrel JUMPED out of the metal thing, over the lawn mower and scared me so bad I screamed like a little girl! It was really funny afterward, but it scared me bad when it happened.

Friday night Michael had a carnival at his school and my dad volunteered to go as a clown and do balloon animals and card tricks. Well, I decided to go with him. Let me just tell you, we were the hit of the night. All the kids loved us, and we made a lot of balloon animals. By the end we had the same kids coming back, so we started making huge hats using like 4 or 5 balloons per kid. It was pretty sweet.

Lastly, yesterday Michael had a baseball game. He is playing baseball for the first year ever and it was his 3rd game. He got 4 hits in his 4 at bats. The last one was the best. The score was tied at 7 and it was the bottom of the 6th inning. They only play 6 innings, so it was his team's last chance to score or else they would tie. There was one out and a guy on first and a guy on second. The pitcher was a kid that goes to our church. He pitched to Michael, and he hit a homerun over the fence!!! So, that ended the game right there and it was really exciting. He got to keep the ball and I was taking pictures of him throughout the game so this is one as the ball is coming to him on his homerun hit.

You've Got To Be KIDDING Me!

Well, I moved out of college today. I'm back home and it's nice but it's also a little boring. The trip home was good and I got checked out of everything at college good so that was cool. I'm getting a YMCA membership tomorrow for the Y here. So, summer is finally here.

BUT NOT IN RHINELANDER!

No, I don't come home to sun and warmth. I come home to sleet and snow! Can you believe it? What a way to start summer. I can't believe that I am living where it snows in May. What's this world coming to?!?

I hope you all liked my rambling. Have a great day. :)

Trip

Hey guys. It was good to see you all. I wish it could have been under better circumstances though. I thought that the services went well and it was awesome to see how many people Betsy touched in her life. It's a great reminder of how we need to live.

Well, I was thinking in the car today while I was driving. Because of all the detours and meeting up with my family, I spent 20 hours on the road and 34 in Decatur. That's a lot of time on the road, but it was worth it.

I finished my classes this week, and now I only have 2 exams until I'm done. I go home next Thursday. Talk to you all later.
