cereal

Ok, I know that cereal is a random title, but its whats sitting next to me. It's about 10 o clock and i just got out of bed a few ago, and ate some cereal. My life consists of school, work, working out, and sleeping. but very little on the sleeping part. Actually my goal this year is to actually get sleep and not get tired, so i've been trying to manage my time better which is kinda annoying, but at lest i'm not sick...yet. today i have class at 1130 and then i work this afternoon. We have an inreach program called Mosaic which this week is what is called Mosaic Creative Arts Cafe and the feel is a lot like a casual cafe with hot drinks and cookies etc. I am the coordinator of that, so that is also keeping me really busy. Tomorrow the choir meets at the church at 730 am to sing for first service and then again at second service. The choir is pretty darn good. Our choir director is pretty amazing.

This weekend is homecoming weekend for all of the old people.. lol so tomorrow night i work for the alumni concert.. sunday i have a wedding of a friend from last year... both graduates and then maybe a cornmaze... we don't really know. we play things by ear here HAHAHHAH Get it.. ear .. corn.. ok i'm done. :)~

so i hope all is well with everyone, i have fall break next week and i'm going home finally.. I need a good 4 1/2 days off of schoool!

anyway chris i hope your happy..

talk to you guys later

oh and the picture is all of us at chuck E Cheese for my suit mate and my roomates bday--they are twins! it was alot of fun!! :)

Basketball

Well, I'm back to playing basketball. I'm in the YMCA leagues here in Rhinelander. There is an A league and a B league. The leader of the team that I joined for the A league asked if I would play with him in the B league too, so that was cool. We lost the first game in each league, but it was a lot of fun and I dunked once. I got fouled and still made the dunk, so I was pretty happy, unfortunately we were losing by like 15 at that point with a minute left in the game.

I hope you are all doing well. Let's have a little action on here.

I'm officially from the North

Well, I officially became one from the North today. I became a lumberjack. I helped a guy with a tree service today. He hired me for the day because he had a job and needed help. It was pretty cool. We cut down four big trees and several small ones, then used a chipper to chip them all up. It was cool to see how everything is done and how you have to cut them down branch by branch and pull with ropes and stuff so you don't take any power lines down, cause if we would have done that I probably wouldn't be writing this blog. haha Then after we were done being lumberjacks for the day, we went and helped a guy from church. He was redoing the roof on his house so I helped shingle. All in all, I worked from 6:30 this morning till 8:00 tonight. I'm a little tired. Talk to you all later.

September 11... we remember

Just thought i'd say to think of those who are grieving and say a quick prayer today...

do you remember where we were... i was in geometry with mr. Dial

Excitement

First off, I would like to say that it is great to hear from all of you recent bloggers. I thought you all had fallen off the face of blogger never to return again.

Well, I went to visit my old school, Northwestern, this weekend. I stayed with my old roommates and it was a lot of fun. It was really good to see everyone. :) I could go on and on about how cool it was but I'll save that for the story you all really want to hear.

So, on my way home tonight I got to Rhinelander and stopped at the BP right in town. As I filled my gas tank up, it overflowed and I spilled some on the ground. Not only did I feel dumb and have to go tell the people, it also cost more. Oh well. So, I left there and started toward home, toward the Hodag (for those of you who don't know what the hodag is you are missing out). About half way there, I looked down at my mom's cell phone because I had it with me for the trip, when I looked up again, a deer was right in front of me. SMACK!!! I clobbered that thing. It was a little guy too. It still had a few spots so it was young, but that thing went flying in the air! When I say flying I mean whole body in the air higher than the top of my car, but flying away from me forward so I could see it. It was scary and crazy and kinda cool looking. So, I got out and went over to it. I then took a couple pictures, picked up the stuff that broke off the grill of my car and walked back over to the deer. Then a cop came. He checked it out and helped me so that was cool and we didn't have to file anything or else my insurance would have skyrocketed. Anyway, that was my exciting story. Hope you enjoyed it. :)

Alive I can do...kicking is another matter...

Hey all,

i just realized that it's been approximately 27.873387403394% of a year since I last wrote on this thing...so I thought I'd let you all know that Decatur is still a town that some people live in, and as of yet the polution from our good friends at ADM has not killed all of us. ...as of yet... :)

Actually, things are going quite swimmingly here...I LOVE not being a freshman (for those of you who are freshmen this year, skip to the next paragraph) and having friends and connections right off the bat. I'm on the leadership team for intervarsity this year and we have been having really good attendance these last few weeks and about 15 small group bible studies got off the ground this week. Very exciting. I also love the fact that I'm done with math and english credits for all eternity. Woot to the upper classmen!!!

The past two weeks have been positively filled with auditions, first classes, start ups for lab projects, and re-learning how to study. Motivation is a key factor that I seem to be lacking, but I'm sure it will pick up here soon. I got into the choir I wanted and also am a part of a bigger vocal jazz group than last year, which is going to be great fun.

I hate Organic chemistry, love genetics, and am pretty much buried with readings for my honors seminar at all times. Other than that, life goes on as normal. So why am I so TIRED already?? Yikes! Maybe it's just cause I haven't yet re-learned how to survive on minimal sleep. Yeah...let's go with that.

All that to say, I'm still here...walking steadily if not kicking and dancing all over. ...I'll take what I can get... Hope you all are doing well...keep on keepin on!
