How many fruitcakes would Rockefeller Center need?

I thought a diagram of a fruitcake-powered Christmas tree would be a good contribution to this decreasingly used blog.

Umm...I am alive.

Last semester, rough. Looking for an upswing now. Still hoping to get my Bio B.A. and go to Physician's Assistant school.
Still songwriting and recording in my miniscule spare time. Two albums need finishing touches. Meanwhile, I've still giving away "Dives and Climbs" and "Another Million Miles" if anyone's interested.

As for new stuff, I got my ear pierced a couple months ago. But I wear a clear thing in there so it's harder to tell.
A young lady named Jill actually finds me attractive enough to hang out with me, and we've been trying that dating thing for about a month now.

My family (including Annie now) celebrated Christmas at home. Indeed, as Deanna remarked, no snow. Not a hint of it.
We woke up around noon, ate at 2 (after stockings), opened bigger presents, then watched Polar Express (The only movie I know of where Tom Hanks has multiple voice personalities and Steven Tyler is an elf singer).

I'll be spending the New Year's countdown working St. Mary's 6th floor. Should be interesting. It bothers me a little to think my first activity for ringing in the new year might be counting cc's in a urinal (or something worse). Seriously, pray that I can bring some cheer to those folks stuck in there over the holidays.

Since that was a fairly usual "update on me" type entry, I'll cook up a really exciting one for next time, okay?

May the Lord find you exceedingly joyful as the echoes of Christmas continue to ring in your ears and another calender year begins waving so long.

Here's a toast to another year of blessings, Lord willing and tarrying.

P.S. Any of you get fruitcakes for Christmas? One of our car batteries died.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a great Christmas and have lots of fun with your friends and family!

We got about 6 inches of snow yesterday/last night, so it now feels like it can be Christmas. We had a snowball fight and made a snowman last night about 1:30 in the morning. It was pretty fun. You guys should have been here for it.

What's new with me...well, let's see...

Well, in Decatur, we are still recovering from the biggest ice storm since 1978. Last Thursday, over half of Decatur and the surrounding areas lost power, and many people just got power back within the last couple of days. It has been a bit of an interesting week here.
I do just have two more days of classes, which is very exciting. This has not been the easiest semester, but it's almost over! As of right now, I still believe that I made the right decision when I switched my concentration to pre-med, even though six more years of school seems like quite a bit.
Have a great weekend guys, and good luck during finals!

Sorry, that last part sounded a bit like an end-of-the year Christmas newsletter :)
