The 26th of April/that's a night I won't forget/
Around the stroke of midnight/'heard that I had lost a friend/
something 'bout a semi-trailer highway accident/
that van became a chariot that took her to heaven/

Found her picture on the web/the tragic news as well/
But 300 miles away/makes it not seem so real/
Yet once again I question God/like I've the right to ask/
While thoughts of other losses cause/their sadness to come back/

Initial inclination was to run and cry and scream/
but I also had a million thoughts that paralyzed me/
"Who's the victim of this night/if not those left behind?"/

to really see/the picture God is trying to paint/

I'm sure you all know already but Betsy Smith was killed in a car accident on Wednesday night. Please be praying for the Smith family and everyone. This is a really tough time, so please just keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

so yes, i'm stressed and yes, college is hard and yes, i'm going to miss it and yes, i can't wait to be done with finals and yes, i'm excited to be a sophomore..
That was to get all the pre-lim questions out of the way. :) School is good, I just finished my last paper of the semester!!!!! And now for the finals...don don doonnn!
Life is good, God is better! Hope you guys are all doing well and enjoy these last few chances to be picked on as freshmen!! :)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Well, we had a pretty exciting Friday night last night. First we went to see The Sentinel. It was a good movie. If you haven't seen it, you should go see it. Well, we went to an earlier showing so we were done by 9:30. We wanted something exciting to do. We went to Cub Foods and got some hair dye. My roommate Jeremy said that he was going to buy it if I would do it. I reluctantly gave in. Why not? We are in college and it's time to take risks and have fun. So, we got some blonde dye. Unfortunately, my hair turned a little orange, but what are ya going to do? So, I hope you enjoy the pictures. I'm kinda scared to walk around in public, but it's going to happen today. Literary Classics...meet kick butt Goslings

...So I just babysat and had a lifechanging experience that I had to share. I read the best book ever, Ollie the Stomper, to my little charges and it was amazing! Here's a little gosling who just wants some boots, makes some really cute facial expressions and then stomps around a lot. ...the random illustrations are priceless!! Anyhoo...yay for kids books...sorry I can't put the whole thing in here...read it some day if you get the chance!

ok...so I just re-read this entry and it's insane. But what can I say, it's a Friday, finals are a week away, and...oh yeah...I'm insane anways...

this is a sign that spring/summer is coming and is here.. not summer of course.. but the warm feelings that allow me to visit the beach at least once a week... ya i'm pretty sure i like it here.. i'm def visiting this summer and tanning .. hello!!! :) lol

well good luck guys in your last couple of weeks.. i have ONE week left of classes and then finals.. so in two weeks from today i'm moving out.. soo scary.. then coming to good o'le decatur.. not sure thats the bestest place ever.. but it'll do for this summer ;)

Easter Weekend

I came home for the weekend and it was a lot of fun. We hung out with a lot of people. I had a bunch of fun with my family too. I was Joseph the father of Jesus in the Easter play. I had about a 20 sec. part, but let me tell you.. I was amazing. Actually, Jordan had the lead part. He was Joseph of Arimethea (however you spell it). He was very very good. He had a song, which he did awesome on. Everyone was surprised because he hasn't really sang here. Nobody knew he could sing. After my play part, I got changed back into my Easter outfit, which you can see here.



Now I'm leaving in a little bit to go back to school. My dad and I are geocaching on the way back. We are going to find a bunch of them and make it a long trip. It's going to be sweet. Well, if you guys get bored, you can go to my picture website because I put a few more pictures on there.

Some cool stuff

My dad is headed to Nicaragua for this week for a scouting trip to get ready for this summer. He is taking another trip back there. I'm not going on this one, but Jordan is! I'm happy for him, and I know he'll enjoy it.

I went to a seminar thing yesterday with some friends and it was really good. The guy, Sam Storms (a semi-famous guy), spoke about the differences in the church. It was about how some churches are mainly based in the Word, while others were mainly based in the Spirit. It was really interesting and he talked about how we need to have a balance. Anyway, I won't be able to explain it very well, but it was good.

Does anyone know how Ben Wilkerson is doing? I haven't talked to that kid in a while and I left him a couple messages, which he did not respond to. haha

Speaking of Blustery

You've gotta love those midwest tornado warnings! We just had number one for tonight, with more storms on the way. The sirens went off, the wind started blowing, and the hail started falling. Too bad spring has to come with bad weather!
Wow! Its finally April, though. We don't have much longer, and then we are done with another whole year of school!
Well, that's really about all I have to say right now. Just thought that I would follow Morgan's order to blog!

Hi all...

ahh, love little rambles with Winnie the Pooh...hooray for childhood favorites! Today and yesteday we had huge gusts of wind and BEAUTIFUL cloud filled days...spring is definitely right around the corner! Today it looks like rain (tut-tut!), but that's cool too. Yesterday my friend Christina was in town on spring break and I went horseback riding with her. That was great fun...haven't done that in forever! It was good to catch up with her. Then this morning her mom played the worst april fool's joke ever (too long to explain...it had to do with a car running over my cell phone...). Kudos to her...I've never been good at practical joking.

So, happy april. Can you believe it? I realized yesterday that I'm approaching the END of freshman year already. Time flies when you're...well...when you're busy I guess. Hehe...no, it's been fun too. Hope you guys are having a good weekend. POST for pete's sake!!
