Winter Camp Rocks My World
This past weekend I went back to Rhinelander to go to winter camp. It was an awesome time. The services were good and it was a good refresher for me. Also, I got to see a lot of people that I know. Barron, Rhinelander, and the church I go to here were all there along with a few smaller churches, so I basically knew almost everyone. It was fun.
It was freezing though. The first morning it was -20 degrees F. Talk about cold. I walked outside and the snot in my nose froze! It warmed up to about 0 during the day. We went cross country skiing, tubing, and played broomball. I had a ton of fun despite the cold. It was so cold the first night and we were playing broomball outside. I was getting really cold so I ran back to the little coffee shop thing we had there, and my nose was beginning to get frost bitten. They said that your skin will turn white/gray and when I walked in someone said that mine was. Of course, it wasn't that big of a deal. I just had to put my hand on it and let it warm up. My nose was stiff, but eventually warmed up and it was good.
So, it was a pretty eventful weekend. Oh, Michael had a basketball tournament this weekend too and they got 1st place. He had 10 points in the first game, 10 in the second, and 13 in the third. My mom told me that in one of the games, he and another kid were going at it. They were getting more and more physical and stealing the ball from each other. Finally, Michael stole the ball from him, and the kid turned and shoved Michael onto the ground. All Michael did is get up and walk to the free throw line. We taught him so well! haha
Well, I hope you are all doing good. Have a great week. Oh, and for those of you that didn't have school today, you are lucky. :)
